Meet the Crum & Co. Outdoors Team

Chase is the reason Crum & Co. exists. A Panhandle native and lifelong outdoorsman, he’s happiest when duck season is open, the dogs are working and he’s outside. He started Crum & Co. to build the kind of shop he wanted to walk into himself — knowledgeable, straightforward, welcoming and rooted in the local outdoor community. When he isn’t behind the counter, there’s a good chance Mallie and Daisy aren’t far behind.

Zach is Crum & Co.’s co-founder, store manager and resident chaos coordinator. He keeps an eye on the numbers, works with vendors, keeps orders moving and spends plenty of time figuring out what inventory needs to show up next. He handles much of the firearms ordering and purchasing side of the business and is always looking for the right products — and the right deals — to bring into the shop. Outside of Crum & Co., Zach enjoys running, being outdoors and spending time with family.

Katie is Chase’s sister-in-law, Zach’s wife and the person responsible for just about everything on the other side of the glass counter. While Chase and Zach spend much of their time focused on guns and ammo, Katie selects and orders the apparel, gifts, branded merchandise and seasonal finds that give the rest of Crum & Co. its personality. She also custom-designed the Crum & Co. logo featuring Mallie and Daisy. A middle school teacher by day and cheer mom to Emy and Kacen, Katie spends plenty of nights and Sundays making sure the shop is ready for the week ahead. Around here, it’s a running joke that Katie can walk out to her car and somehow come back with another load of inventory. Packages just seem to spawn around her.

Mallie is a red Labrador retriever and Chase’s go-to hunting companion. In the field, she’s all business — driven, focused and always ready for the next retrieve. That working-dog spirit helped inspire the Crum & Co. logo, where she appears alongside Daisy. Whether she’s working in the field or making an appearance at the shop, Mallie takes her job seriously.

Daisy is a yellow Labrador who is just as comfortable stretched out on the couch as she is headed to the water. She loves chasing a duck, but belly rubs are at least as important. Calm, friendly and easygoing, Daisy is perfectly happy hanging out in the shop and greeting customers — or doing absolutely nothing at all. She’s a family dog through and through and a big part of the Crum & Co. crew.
